I'm back!!

Posted by focalflicks Monday, February 1, 2010

I've been on hiatus for a few months.

I blame it all on Farmville ... that game is addicting. I wish someone would've given me an intervention, but all the people I am close with were addicted to FV too.

I have finally come to terms with the fact that farming on Farmville is nothing compared to farming in real life -- I am really get no actual benefit from it, so... I've stopped tending to my crops and animals... maybe someday I'll get back into it, and I know my animals will all still love me :)

Valentine's day is right around the corner. For my project this month, I'm going to take photos of 'LOVE'.

Using Actions...

Posted by focalflicks Thursday, September 10, 2009

I love using actions in PS, who doesn't?

For anyone who is a savvy MS Excel users, PS Actions translate to using Macros in Excel.

They are preprogrammed / (or recorded) steps. It's useful if you like applying the same technique over and over without having to go through all the steps one-by-one.

Just click the PLAY button and off it goes, all by itself.

Love it.

Below is a photo set I used utilizing different actions in PS.

Posted by focalflicks Tuesday, September 8, 2009

This month I'm going to focus on going back through some of my old photos and posting some of my favs here.

I found a few CDs worth of images from past vacations and have become inspired to display them.

The first few will be from my trip to DC - stay tuned as I will be updating throughout the month (as usual)

A Family Reunion : 2009

Posted by focalflicks Wednesday, July 1, 2009

Every 5 years my mother's side of the family has a reunion.
All of my mother's family live in either California, the Hawaiian Islands or Japan. We (me, my mom and sisters) are the only ones living on the East Coast (that I know of).

The reunion has taken place on the Hawaiian islands the last few times and took place in Maui this year.

On our way to Maui we stopped in San Francisco and then in Oahu.

Below are some photos from our trip.

May : Black, White, Red : (4 Photos)

Posted by focalflicks

This months project is simple.

I plan to take existing photos and edit them using Black, White & Red.

Let's see if I can come up with something interesting enough to hang on my walls.

I plan to keep this one simple since the month of May is almost over.

Took a trip to NYC a few months ago with family and used some photos from that day.
