I love using actions in PS, who doesn't?
For anyone who is a savvy MS Excel users, PS Actions translate to using Macros in Excel.
They are preprogrammed / (or recorded) steps. It's useful if you like applying the same technique over and over without having to go through all the steps one-by-one.
Just click the PLAY button and off it goes, all by itself.
Love it.
Below is a photo set I used utilizing different actions in PS.

This month I'm going to focus on going back through some of my old photos and posting some of my favs here.
I found a few CDs worth of images from past vacations and have become inspired to display them.
The first few will be from my trip to DC - stay tuned as I will be updating throughout the month (as usual)
Washington, D.C. (circa 2005)
Every 5 years my mother's side of the family has a reunion.
All of my mother's family live in either California, the Hawaiian Islands or Japan. We (me, my mom and sisters) are the only ones living on the East Coast (that I know of).
The reunion has taken place on the Hawaiian islands the last few times and took place in Maui this year.
On our way to Maui we stopped in San Francisco and then in Oahu.
Below are some photos from our trip.

The photo project for the month of June is 'Tiny Treasures'.
My goal is to take photos of small things -- hmmm, can it really be that simple? Let's see what comes out of this!
Check back to see the updates on this post / updated throughout the month of June :-)

Below are some photos I took for my sister & her fiance's engagement session.
This was my very first photoshoot.
This months project is simple.
I plan to take existing photos and edit them using Black, White & Red.
Let's see if I can come up with something interesting enough to hang on my walls.
I plan to keep this one simple since the month of May is almost over.
Took a trip to NYC a few months ago with family and used some photos from that day.

Hello and welcome to my photography blog!
I'm just starting out here so please bear with me as I am working out some kinks to this site.
To get started, below is a little info about who I am and what this site is all about.
Once you've had enough of that, navigate using the links above.
Who are you?
My name is June. I'm a 29 year old F/T Wife and I also work F/T in the big-bad-corpoarte-world.
I'm addicted to my laptop. I enjoy digital scrapbooking and planning get togethers with friends.
I have 2 dogs, 1 fish and 1 plant (that manages to cling to life, b/c I definitely do not have a green-thumb). I know this is all vague, but to get into the particulars might put some of you in therapy after reading.
I am ME! Who are YOU?
What is 'casual' photography?
To start, I define casual as:
ca-su-al : 1. subject to, resulting from, or occuring by chance / 2. occurring without regularity / 3. being without ceremony or formality; relaxed
Most of the photos I take are taken casually, by chance. Most of the time, I'm not aiming for the 'perfect shot'. The great thing about casual photography is that it's relaxed. You do what you do without the stress of any particular outcome. Stress free is the way to be!
Are you a professional photographer?
My definition of a professional, is someone who gets paid to do what they do -- so, YES, I'm a professional.
Why this site, why not Flickr, Picasa, deviantArt or some other free photo hosting site?
I wanted some place to display my favorite photos, some place where I can integrate both photos and blogging. It's a good way to show the world my stuff and interact with other people. I like the website design and it seems to work well so far. With this site the only real limitations I have hold within me and my knowledge to tweak. I like it!
I do have a personal Flickr site with thousands of photos on it. Feel free to check it out - SN OliveTahoe. *not ALL photos on flickr account were taken by me, some were taken by my hubby or niece (we share the cam sometimes)
What are the 'PROJECTS' all about?
Projects are my way of keeping myself busy with photography. Like most people I get side-tracked and my focus winds up floating all over the place. Nothing like a project with an end result to getcha motivated. I think it will be fun.
I guess that's all for now, got questions/comments? Keep 'em comin'!
